Purple Sage Restaurant Review:
In the renovated 1895 Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone building on Main Street, this American West restaurant features purple tufted booths, painted scrims of purple sage stems hanging from the ceiling, and a back room with a painting of bronco riders, purple mountains and a blue sky by a local artist. An upscale twist enhances the dishes, the mix of which includes barbecued chicken tamale pancakes; blue cheese fondue; meatloaf with pine nuts and poblano chiles; and butternut squash ravioli.
