Kent Rathbun of Abacus and Jasper's fame brings gourmet treatment to comfort cuisine at his more accessible upscale-casual restaurant. Blue Plate’s interior is stylish without being pretentious or fussy. Standout dishes come in the form of shrimp and heirloom grits and Gramma Minnie's fried chicken. The large menu is accompanied by a surprisingly extensive “vineyard” list, and the restaurant is well-suited to host private parties.
