This romantic all-outdoor restaurant is a great way to experience the increasingly respected Temecula wine country. The Ponte family’s Italian heritage is reflected in items like Caesar salad with a roasted garlic dressing, shrimp arrabiatta in a spicy plum tomato sauce and wood-fired pizzas. The house specials highlight proteins that are sustainably raised and hormone-free; among these dishes are char-grilled beef sirloin and pistachio-crusted diver scallops. Pair them with Ponte’s estate-grown Barbera, Dolcetto, Vermentino or other Italian-inspired wines, before finishing with a citrus Bundt cake or a trio of house-made gelato.
