The owner of this wine bar fell in love with the Rhône region on a trip to France, so he ditched his day job and created an homage to the wines he loves. The result is not a rustic re-creation of what you might find in the French countryside but rather an ultrahip decidedly Downtown spot. The space has an industrial feel with 30-foot-high ceilings with exposed vents, poured concrete walls, modern light fixtures and a large, angular bar in the center of the room. It's more like a chic lounge than a real restaurant, and the food tends to play second fiddle to the exclusively Rhône wines.
