THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ristra Restaurant Review:
Housed in an historic Victorian house five minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza, Ristra provides a pleasant unhurried meal. The flavors are French, with hints of Southwestern flair. The menu includes mixed matches like the poblano relleno with wild rice, spaghetti squash and piquillo pepper coulis, as well as achiote-rubbed elk tenderloin accompanied by sweet potato purée, poached pear and sauce poivrade. Chef Xavier Grenet is a master of sweets, and chocophiles will delight with the soufflé and creamy fondant with mint pistachio crème anglaise. The décor is tastefully spare, with contemporary art from the local Zane Bennett gallery. In warm weather, choose to sit on the cozy patio.
