Rizzo's Malabar Inn Restaurant Review:
An old-fashioned Southern Italian spaghetti house, Rizzo’s Malabar Inn is run by the fourth generation of the DeFabo family. The menu of traditional dishes rarely varies. Homemade gnocchi, pastas and pizzas, and veal Parmigiana are all on offer, as are classic desserts such as almond cream cake, homemade gelato and tiramisu. A gluten-free menu is also available. The DeFabos celebrate special Italian holidays. For St. Joseph’s Day, in late March, the restaurant constructs an elaborate altar of bread, hosts a meatless dinner and gives away 4,000 house-made deep-fried pastries called St. Joseph’s pants. At Christmas, the DeFabos exhibit their authentic Neapolitan presepio --- a panoramic Nativity scene.
