THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ruby's San Juan Capistrano Restaurant Review:
This Ruby’s outpost is located just one block from Mission San Juan Capistrano, making it a good place to take the kids before or after a visit to what’s known as the “jewel” of California’s missions. Kids and adults alike delight in the house favorite: a classic burger with a side of fries and a cherry Coke or old-fashioned chocolate shake. There’s also more contemporary and healthy fare, like salads and sandwiches, along with hot dogs, soups and chili, just in case you're not in the mood for burgers. Though the chain is a mere quarter of a century old, the original Ruby's was housed in a 1940s-era bait shack at the end of Newport’s Balboa Pier, and all of the 40 or so locations maintain that retro feeling and down-home service.
