Sadelle's Restaurant Review:
Chefs Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone, those cool kids of culinary kitsch, have gone from Italian-American to Jewish-appetizing at this SoHo spot, set in a high-ceilinged front room with skylights and lots of exposed brick. This is not your ordinary bagel. Order it with smoked salmon or sable and it comes out on a tower, complete with tomatoes and capers. Bagels are chewy and dense and slightly smaller than average. Not in the mood for a bagel? Sadelle’s offers a small range of sandwiches and salads, too. The fried cheese sandwich is all gooey goodness while the Cobb salad is luscious in its largeness.
