THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sam Choy's Kaloko Restaurant Review:
This is where it all started---Kona is Sams home stamping ground after all. But now the near-cafeteria joint is open for breakfast and lunch only, so the fare is more casual than ever. Its strictly plate-lunch style---teri beef, beef stew, ahi salad (three soy-marinated pieces of fish sautéed and served over greens). In a corrugated building in an industrial complex in a not-so-desirable area, Sam Choys Kaloko has an open kitchen and bright colors and is still a must-stop for local kine grindz.
