THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sardo Restaurant Review:
Sardo's décor is welcoming and sunny, as is the staff. The food is equally as joyful, centering on the Sardinian theme and changing monthly with a core of dishes always present. Carpaccio of tuna and swordfish, or malloreddus, the traditional Sardinian pasta with tomato and sausage, make good starters. Fish is one of the strengths here so continue with perhaps grilled fish, properly cooked. Meat-eaters are equally well treated, with a Scotch steak coming topped with Sardinian cheese. Desserts tempt even those not inclined, with a lemon tart as good as any served at a top French restaurant, and classics like tiramisu and panna cotta coming up trumps. A mainly Sardinian wine list intrigues and surprises though it can bump up the bill.
