This popular Silver Lake café doubles as a gourmet wine and cheese shop. Those who stop in for lunch at the sunny little space find a wide and pleasing selection of sandwich combinations, salads, quiche and more. You may pay a little more than at the average sandwich shop, but you're getting a little more too, in the way of ingredients and service. The tuna sandwich is piled high with fresh tuna salad; mozzarella caprese is served on a crusty baguette; and smoked salmon is accompanied by coddled eggs. There is a wide array of cheeses and cured meats to take home afterwards. For a quick bite on the East Side, this is a good place to visit.
