THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Scuderia Restaurant Review:
The culinary creation of Leyla Marchetto, daughter of the longtime owner of Da Silvano, located across the street, Scuderia is an airy and sharp Italian eatery for the twenty-first century. The food here doesn’t play any tricks, though; it’s clearly traditional (and authentic) Italian eats. The menu is separated in the typical fashion with antipasti, primi (pasta dishes) and secondi (meat dishes). There's also a long list of forgettable pizzas. Instead, opt for dishes like the liver and string bean starter, not a common combination, but it works wonderfully together. The bruschetta, topped with a spicy arrabbiata sauce, is also a good bet to start out the meal. The pappardelle with a stew-like beef cheek ragù is rich enough to feed two. For something slightly lighter, opt for the tagliatelle in a chunky Bolognese sauce. Meat dishes include a tender chicken paillard and juicy grilled rabbit. The wine list, while small and all Italian, offers a few affordable options.
