THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Serafina Restaurant Review:
Snag a window seat at this Northern Italian restaurant and enjoy “la passeggiata” Philly-style along Rittenhouse Square. The place is lively, loud and full of see-and-be-seen types, which makes for entertaining dining. Executive chef Carlos Aparicio, last of Marc Vetri's Osteria, offers a menu of thin-crust wood-fired pizzas (try the pie with baby arugula, shaved Parmigiano, Fontina and fresh mozzarella) along with fresh pastas, salads and tiramisu. Sip a specialty cocktail or order a bottle of Cristal --- this is one of the few spots in town that offers the high-end bubbly by the bottle; the wine list is lush with Italian whites and reds as well as plenty of new-world options. Servers do an admirable job of navigating the crowds with a smile.
