THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sevilla Restaurant Review:

At Sevilla, the ambience is as big a draw as the cuisine. This is a place where Santa Barbara hipsters come to flaunt their beauty, well matched by a glittering décor inspired by the Middle East, Brazil and France. The main dining room, comprised of several nooks each with its own particular embellishments, features a few coveted private booths closed off by silky curtains and velvet ropes. Fulfillments---aka main courses---include such standouts as a halibut steak wrapped in taro root and served in a truffle-garlic broth; crispy-skinned Hawaiian snapper served with a saffron-potato risotto; and braised lamb shank with a celery root gratin. The full bar features a moderate wine list and plenty of original cocktails. While the food can be topnotch, loose ends have plagued Sevilla since the departure of its original chef, and it often feels more like a painfully hip nightclub than a fine dining restaurant.
