This Chinese eatery a block from the hustle of Union Square attracts diners with its down-tempo electronic music that oozes out of the open façade and the sleek design, complete with orange leather booths and oversize lampshades hovering near the high ceiling. The menu, though, doesn’t stray far from the typical Chinese fare we’ve come to know and, at times, love. General Tso’s chicken? Present. So are all the other dishes infused with cashews and hot-and-sour and curry. It doesn’t matter how easy on the eyes a place is; sometimes a Chinese restaurant is just a Chinese restaurant.
