Shikara Restaurant Review:

Shikara is located in one of the most expensive real estate areas in London, but the great thing about this spot is the value it offers. The long menu takes you mainly around north India, encompassing Balti and tandoor dishes, aristocratic Mughal cooking and Malabar curry. It's all freshly made and well cooked, evident in dishes like the Goan-style crab cake and calamari tossed in curry leaves and spices; freshwater tiger prawns in coconut milk; and lamb prepared with dried red chillies from Rajasthan. Desserts are delightful and the staff more than helpful and pleasant. Set menus from £13.95 to (for 2) £39.95.
