THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Shula's 347 Grill Restaurant Review:
In a town where the New England Patriots are king, Shula’s celebrates a man (Don Shula and his record 347 NFL victories) and a football team (the Miami Dolphins) who are longtime, and not particularly beloved, divisional rivals. Moreover, Providence is home to at least four upscale steakhouses, all of which easily outshine Shula’s in terms of ambience and reputation. Shula’s undoubtedly gets by on accommodating hotel guests, but the restaurant does have a few things going for it. The sports bar at the front of the house has a nice second-floor perch overlooking the neighboring Dunkin’ Donuts Center arena and the sandwich menu offers quality a step above what you’d find at a local pub. Signature entrées include braised short ribs and chicken Milan, while “Shula Cut” aged steaks range from an eight-ounce filet mignon to a 16-ounce cowboy steak.
