THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Shula's Steak House Restaurant Review:
The lights are muted and the dining room handsome at this upscale steakhouse located in the Troy Marriott hotel. Gold framed, black-and-white photos of the Miami Dolphins' greatest coach, Don Shula, and long-haired football players of the 70s cover the walls. Even the menu---written on a real football---carries out the theme. While you might expect the waitstaff to come out in helmets and pads, instead they are quite professional when tempting you with large steaks, including a gut-busting 48-ounce porterhouse, displayed on a rolling cart. There's even a live, three-pound lobster, husky enough to play right tackle. Just about everything on the menu is worth sampling: the New York sirloin, the barbecued basil shrimp, the steaming baked potatoes---even the tart and creamy Key lime pie. Expect big portions; if you can finish that 48-ouncer (at $66), they'll put your name on a plaque on the wall.
