Social Eating House Restaurant Review:
Social Eating House joins Jason Atherton’s Pollen Street Social and Little Social. Headed up by Paul Hood, the kitchen delivers dishes like the signature home-smoked duck “ham” with a crisp soft-boiled duck egg with truffle oil; and roast cod with kombu seaweed in a sea sauce with mushrooms. Desserts show equal respect. The setting is comparable: a parquet-floored room with leather banquettes, good lighting and mirrors on the walls. Set 2-course lunch £18, 3 courses £31.
