THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED SoleFood Restaurant Review:
Chef Thomas Harkins is in the kitchen at SoleFood, a lobby-level restaurant with sweeping spaces and streetscape views in the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Harkins emphasizes Philadelphia as a port city with a seafood menu that is simple and elegant, drawing on influences from around the world. Seasonal and sustainable ingredients are at the forefront in dishes such as Pocono trout with pickled red onions, parsnip purée and caramelized Brussels sprouts. There is steak and chicken for those not enamored of sea critters. Do ask for the cinnamon churros with condensed cream and spiced chocolate dipping sauces for dessert. The wine list offers half bottles for those times when a glass isn't enough and a bottle is too much.
