Spenard Roadhouse Restaurant Review:

The modern, welcoming atmosphere of Spenard Roadhouse is evident in the simple ambience of its well-lit space, wooden tables and trim with metal accents. The menu always offers something new, but if you’ve been here before the Super Tots --- imagine a heaping plate of nachos with tater tots in place of the chips --- are a "must" to order. Also recommended is the Korean Tofu Taco starter with a combination of tofu, black beans, red peppers, mushrooms, bean sprout kimchi, cilantro and aïoli on a flour tortilla. Another house specialty and popular entrée is the Cubano sandwich. Stuffed with braised pork, barbecue sauce, ham, onions, mayo and Swiss cheese heaped high on ciabatta bread, it's a winner. There's also a kids’ menu, which is basic, but the vegetable plate mixed in with the standard fare is a welcome option. Kids of all ages can order a S’more for dessert. The full bar offers a passable wine list, flights of bourbon, infused vodkas, plus specialty drinks and eight local beers on tap. This is an affordable, enjoyable place where locals and visitors alike enjoy spending a night out on the town.
