Despite its Egyptian name and logo, this Herndon restaurant features Persian kabobs as entrées, with assorted Persian salads as appetizers and side dishes. Although you won't find anything out of the ordinary, you will find satisfactory fare. And if the mood strikes, you may spend time smoking the hookah, and enjoying such tobacco flavors as apple, mango, rose, orange and lemon. We were pleased enough with Sphinx's kubideh kabobs and very tender oven-baked bread to return often.
