THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Spring Street Natural Restaurant Restaurant Review:
With its cozy dark wood and tall trees, Spring Street has been catering to the SoHo neighborhood’s need for a healthy and vegetarian-friendly dining spot for years. Its following is as loyal to the restaurant as they are to their Birkenstocks. A window-side table is a good perch for watching the trendy street traffic. Sure, you can get items like corn-crusted tofu with miso-jalapeño sauce or steamed organic seasonal vegetables, but they also serve up credible free-range poultry, fresh-caught fish, and a grilled grass-fed hanger steak served with red onion jam, stuffed baked potato, and sautéed spinach. For starters, the crab fritters are a standout. The cocktails are as finely finessed as the food, and the wine list is diverse and reasonably priced.
