The Stand Restaurant Review:

An entry in the Valley's hot dog wars, this is --- despite its pedestrian name --- the most elaborate yet. You line up at the counter to order --- after passing by the sizzling products --- but tables decked out in black-and-white checkered vinyl tablecloths occupy a room with a cozy retro feel. In addition to good standard dogs, you can find a very satisfying red hot beef dog, turkey dog and a large number of specialties: a traditional Chicago dog, classic Polish and a tasty apple-chicken sausage. A variety of condiments --- Southwestern corn salsa and grilled onions, in addition to the usual chili --- help make this one fine dog-consuming venue. Burgers and sandwiches round out the menu. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a milkshake, seasonal cobbler, ice cream sandwich or brownie sundae. Beer and wine are available. Other locations.
