Sticks Restaurant Review:
Sticks at Spanish Bay is a locals’ secret. It’s casual, and usually full-up with golfers --- as any good 19th hole should be. In addition to a fun cocktail lineup and access to Pebble Beach’s extensive wine list, Sticks has a smart and savory menu with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. There’s baked spinach and artichoke dip, roasted garlic hummus, a soba noodle salad and a portobello mushroom sandwich with caramelized onions and goat cheese. For pescaterians, the calamari with cocktail and tartar sauces is a must. Tater tots, with their chipotle and green goddess dips, are also addictive. Portions are plentiful and prices are reasonable, at least by Pebble Beach standards. Whether you’re hankering for Indian-style Jidori chicken breast, a traditional Reuben, or some fish ‘n’ chips, you can enjoy your meal while listening to the strains of the bagpiper who strolls the dunes nightly.
