I got thirsty for a few things: refreshing cocktails, a patio, elegant décor, friendly service and, also, food. So, I decided to head to Ocean Prime in Beverly Hills. It was good timing as the beverage director of the group that owns the restaurant, along with fifteen other locations in America, had just created three new cocktails for the summer.

I could not resist and had to have them all: Aperitivo, Spanish Gin & Tonic and Summer Saké. I, then, tried a few dishes. They were quite good, I have to say. Considering this, I should have had a few more, but I stayed reasonable as I knew I was going to have the warm butter cake topped with vanilla ice on a bed of raspberry sauce — a must-have. And since it was “Happy Hour,” appetizers were half price, as well as a selection of drinks.
