THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sushi Dokoro Ki Ra La Restaurant Review:

In a setting that’s little more than a tiny concrete shoebox, Sushi Dokoro Ki Ra La offers a low-key alternative to all the overtly glamorous dining spots of Beverly Hills. But while the ambience is definitely of the keep-it-simple school, the surprisingly long menu offers a complex array of sushi and sashimi along with house specialties, appetizers and hot main courses. The sushi, prepared at a long bar extending almost the entire length of the restaurant, is where this Japanese joint shines. Delicate snapper is topped with citrus, pink salt and yuzu pepper; a bright white scallop has a layer of shaved truffle atop; and the toro is served plain and fresh as it should be. Of course, there is the requisite California roll and dynamite appetizer. But the menu also boasts a few unique items like salmon collar with bonito flakes. Mochi ice cream and crème brûlée complete the dessert selection, and a few notable sakés are served.
