Suzy Wong’s House of Yum Restaurant Review:
In Arnold Myint’s restaurants, fun and casual is the rule. Suzy Wong’s is his Asian foray into the Church Street nightclub scene. Take your seat on a posh banquette and start with the moo shu chicken “tacos,” which use edamame as a salsa ingredient and fiery sriracha sauce as an accent. We also suggest the five-spice pork ribs. Most of the plates are designed for sharing, allowing parties to sample all over the menu. Many of the “yum bowls” are good choices, especially the basil-peanut eggplant with tofu. Although there is a decent wine list, many folks come for the sprightly cocktails, and the saké list is interesting as well. For dessert, try the toasted coconut ice cream. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items are marked on the menu.
