THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Swank Restaurant Review:
If you have to ask what the dress code is at this popular downtown meeting spot, you clearly haven't done your homework. Swank is A Posh Eatery by name and nature both---a place to strut designer attire while pretending you're in Manhattan. The menu is mostly comprised of sophisticated nibbles, with a few entrées thrown in for good measure. Thin-crust pizzas and gourmet sandwiches are popular. Healthy eaters should be well pleased by Swank's numerous salad offerings, ranging from a Niçoise to a veggie creation featuring red and yellow peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, sugared walnuts and oranges over spinach and romaine. If you want a real meal, we recommend the cornmeal-breaded catfish accompanied by crispy fries. Note that on Friday evenings until 10 p.m., the restaurant tosses aside its sophisticated image and holds a Family Friday Fish Fry. Grown-ups get a free beer; kids get a cookie.
