With whimsical hand-blown glass light fixtures, distressed furniture, and brick walls dotted with native Brazilian art, Terra Brazilis is a lot of fun. The cuisine pays homage to its Brazilian origins but has been modified for the California palate. Among the small plates are mussels cloaked in a fragrant saffron sauce and sweet plantain stuffed with spicy chicken picadillo. Large plates include feijoada, a hearty black bean stew with smoked meats and collard greens, and a succulent pork loin stuffed with fresh herbs and dried fruits. Try the crème brûlée topped with a Brazilian sugarcane glaze.
