THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Three Rivers Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Rhode Island has plenty of greasy breakfast joints, but their gourmet counterparts are few and far between. Three Rivers, then, is a rare morning treat. Not only is the location a real eye-opener---it occupies a bright and airy space resembling a boathouse, right at the edge of the Warren River---but owner Nancy O'Connell and her staff take refreshing liberties with standard breakfast fare. Its takes on eggs Benedict are first-rate, served open-face on local Portuguese bread (the kitchen makes a habit of local sourcing); sometimes smoked salmon subs for the usual applewood bacon. We're also delighted with the pan omelet specials (some would call them frittatas), stuffed, say, with goat cheese, roasted beets, and a variety of fresh vegetables. Fritters take the cake when made of sweet corn and black beans with avocado, eggs, cheddar and fresh salsa.
