THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Torre di Pisa Restaurant Review:
We love the whimsical David Rockwell design: a giant clock face in the colorful dining room, and a receding row of columns that evoke De Chirico. To start, nibble on deep fried artichoke hearts and cardoons with a generous shaving of Parmesan. Move on to spaghetti with broccoli rabe, roasted garlic and pancetta, or chicken-and-sundried-tomato ravioli. Other stand-outs include grilled beef paillard brushed with Dijon mustard, sautéed chicken breast with roasted potatoes and calfs liver grilled with caramelized onions and soft polenta. The chocolate-mousse tower is served slightly at an angle, like the restaurants leaning-tower namesake.
