Tortilla Flats Restaurant Review:
It’s hard to tell by the subpar food, but this West Village Mexican restaurant is something of an institution. When it opened in the mid 1980s, ethnic restaurants, particularly Mexican ones, were few and far between (at least compared to today). The first-rate margaritas should be the first order of the evening here and let the food act as filler. When hunger hits, try the chimichangas, the La Bomba burrito grande, or one of the many combination plates.
