Trattoria Corte Sconta Restaurant Review:
Trattoria Corte Sconta is located at the end of a narrow alley close to Arsenale di Venezia, a 15 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. An unpretentious-looking front opens up to the delightful restaurant, with a 30-year-old grape vine-covered inner courtyard, which gives a new meaning to outdoor dining in Venice. This has been a family-owned establishment for more than three decades, and is presently run by two women, sisters-in-law Rita Luccini and Lucia Zambon. Luccini, who is responsible for the menu, follows the tradition of offering fine Venetian seafood, for which Trattoria Corte Sconta has built its name. Try the well-composed seven-course fish menu that changes with the time of year. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get some soft-shell crabs. The wine list includes good local labels from Veneto and Friuli to complement the fish specialties.
