THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Viet Bistro Restaurant Review:
Head to Eden Center for a casual Vietnamese meal with the added advantage that the kitchen provides loads of choices, from crispy spring rolls and fresh garden rolls to more complex eats such as barbecue pork with rice and Chinese sausage with fried rice. Keep in mind that this is not haute Vietnamese cooking, for some flavors fall flat: the shrimp sour soup, which brings together pineapple, bean sprouts, shrimp and some Vietnamese veggies, lacks the essential flavor layering that makes this dish so spectacular elsewhere. The cook adds a few Thai and Korean options to the menu---and even a section dedicated to the Chinese rice soup, congee---which only serves to dilute the essential ethnic character of the restaurant.
