Going horseback riding in Griffith Park? Stop here on the way back, since this Mexican joint adjacent to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center has a place outside for tying up your horse. In the pleasant if clichéd dining room, experiment with any of the two dozen tequilas and traditional Mexican specialties. Entrées like the carnitas traditionale and the shrimp borracho make this place worth a short drive --- or ride. Live music for all ages with no cover is another good reason to check out this classic cantina, and if you aren’t riding up, there’s free parking across the street at the Pickwick Bowl.
