White Mountain Cider Co. Restaurant Review:
Discover this rustic yet elegant restaurant, situated in a nineteenth-century farmhouse that is indeed still home to a cider mill, down a long country road at the edge of the White Mountain National Forest. Teresa and Scott Stearns created a sleek space in which to offer dishes such as winter calamari with blood orange and jalapeño fennel, and duck confit with a tart cranberry-pear compote. Next try the ginger and cider braised pork with squash and house-made strozzapreti, or herb-crusted haddock with lemon and thyme sauce. Desserts range from homemade cider donuts to gingerbread with pumpkin cheesecake ice cream. Don’t miss sampling a hand-crafted cocktail at the bar.
