THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Yama Restaurant Review:

THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED You’ll find extra-large portions and friendly servers at this West Village sushi joint. In warmer weather there’s a wood-bedecked patio that’s prime for lingering. The menu features the usual assortment of maki, sushi and sashimi, as well as a large selection of tempura and teriyaki dishes. But it's not going to win over many raw fish enthusiasts. Good tuna should melt like butter once it hits the taste buds; Yama's is too chewy. The udon and teriyaki dishes are bland. Still, the atmosphere is cozy enough to make you not completely regret skipping out on that line at Tomoe.
