THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Zachary Jacques Restaurant Review:
Tucked away in the Sierra foothills, this local gem is one of the few choices for fine dining in the Placerville area. The décor features a unique blend of French countryside and Gold Country---a strange combination that works. The seasonal menu offers many staples of French cuisine, as well as some surprises. Starters include house-made pâté and stuffed mushrooms baked in Brie, while mains include grilled duck breast and filet mignon. A three-course fixed price menu includes a starter, main and dessert, with selections not available on the à la carte menu. The wine list boasts more than 300 selections with an emphasis on local wines as well as French imports. Special events include tastings featuring local vineyards, live music and special holiday menus.
