A lively spinoff of proprietor Bob Montgomery's Bay Café, Bay Roadhouse & Grill offers an extensive menu of fresh seafood, much of it from local waters. The vibe is more casual than the original, which has been shuttered, and the prices make the new eatery more accessible---and busier. Modern Solvang boasts more than aebelskivers and wine tasting. The doors have swung open at The Cowboy Way BBQ Restaurant, located in Frederick's Court. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, tri-tip, and chicken are smoked over red oak and hickory at this new Western-themed eatery. Ribs Galore at Holdren's Steaks & Seafood
Holdren's Steaks & Seafood, located in Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks, now dishes out all-you-can-eat baby back ribs, served with a side and soup or salad, every Monday night for just $20. Slow-roasted then finished on the grill and smothered in homemade barbecue sauce, a full rack typically runs $29. Fabio Returns
Following a legal tug-of-war between Fabio Viviani (Osteria Firenze) and his business partners, the Italian-born chef who gained fame as a favorite contestant on the TV series Top Chef has regained possession of Café Firenze in Moorpark. Traditional dishes such as creamy Italian risotto and caprese salad mix with creative cocktails, particularly martinis, which are served on an expansive granite martini bar in the lounge. Palazzio Introduces Colossal Cocktail
It was only a matter of time. Known for it's enormous portions of food, Palazzio now serves a 48-ounce drink, aptly named the "Colossal." The mammoth cocktail comes as a margarita, cosmopolitan, martini, and in other varieties. Priced at $19.95, the behemoth beverage serves four. Carnaval at Cafe Buenos Aires
Celebrate Carnaval every Thursday on the spacious patio at Café Buenos Aires.
