One of Santa Barbara's most popular bakeries, Our Daily Bread, a locals' favorite since 1981, will replace Mimosa restaurant on the corner of De La Vina St. and Alamar Ave. In addition to fresh loaves and pastries, the new location will serve breakfast and lunch. Santa Barbara Chicken Ranch has flown south. The longtime Santa Barbara locals' favorite, beloved for mesquite-grilled chicken and tri-tip, has opened its first Ventura location, in the Donlon Plaza Shopping Center. New Tasting Room for Anacapa Vintners
Anacapa Vintners has opened a tasting room in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone, an eclectic neighborhood sandwiched between Downtown and the Waterfront. The new establishment, which features a wall-sized map of the local wine country, celebrates the area's diversity by offering a wide selection of varietals, as well as educational programs highlighting the specific characteristics of individual regions. Isabella Gourmet Foods to Open in Santa Barbara
Billing itself as "Santa Barbara's whimsical answer to New York City's venerable Dean & Deluca," a new artisanal grocery --- Isabella Gourmet Foods --- is poised to open in downtown Santa Barbara's La Arcada Court. Chef Shuffle

Proprietor Tom Dolan has opened Toma Restaurant & Bar in the space formerly occupied by Emilio's Ristorante & Bar, a longtime fixture on the Santa Barbara Waterfront. Chef Nat Ely, previously of the Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe, helms the kitchen. Expect Mediterranean fare with a locavore bent and a wine list comprised of Italian and local labels.
