The STRAT is offering three dinner and show packages. The Casual Package, includes dinner at PT’s Wings & Sports with choice of a burger, sandwich or five-ounce boneless wings, dessert and the option of seeing “Banachek’s Mind Games Live” for $55, “Xavier Mortimer: The Dream Maker” for $65 or “iLuminate” for $75. The Premium Package, offers dinner at McCall’s Heartland Grill with soup or salad, lemon and herb marinated half chicken or Atlantic salmon and cheesecake or chocolate cake and the option of seeing “Banachek’s Mind Games Live” for $75, “Xavier Mortimer: The Dream Maker” for $85 or “iLuminate” for $95. The Silverton Casino is offering specials gearing up for March Madness, from March 17-20. All casino bars and lounges will offer $18 buckets of domestic or imported beer and $5 green tea shots made with whiskey, sweet and sour and peach schnapps. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Shady Grove Lounge will offer a $6 combo meal including choice of a beer-braised brat with caramelized onions, an all-beef hot dog or an all-American cheeseburger served with fries or kettle chips and a jumbo cookie; and the Mermaid Lounge will be serving up a $6 personal pizza with a choice of pepperoni or cheese. Tailgate Social Sports Bar & Grill at Palace Station Hotel and Casino will host will host Buckets & Brews viewing parties for each weekend of college basketball's March Madness from March 17-April 4. The games will be viewed on more than 30 high-definition TVs throughout the restaurant offering optimal viewing from any seat. A per person minimum spent on food and drinks is required to reserve seating, with minimums ranging from $50-$95 depending on the round. The full menu will be available, including crispy style chicken wings with choice of sauce; hanger steak with roasted balsamic butter and fries; and the Abe Froman pizza with marinara, Italian sausage, sautéed peppers and onions, mozzarella and spicy agave chile. Drinks offered include craft beers (20 on tap) and themed cocktails such as the Buzzer Beater with Cazadores tequila, hibiscus, grapefruit liqueur and lime. Lip Smacking Foodie Tours has added four restaurants at Resorts World to its “Savors of the Strip” gourmet walking excursion. Available nightly, the 2.5-hour primetime evening tour is led by a professional tour guide, taking guests to three restaurants located within an easy stroll from one another, with the exact lineup dependent upon the particular night of the week. The restaurants include the high-energy contemporary Asian Fuhu; ¡VIVA!, chef Ray Garcia’s fresh take on Latin cooking; Kusa Nori,complete with a sushi bar and teppanyaki grills; and Carversteak steakhouse, helmed by chef Daniel Ontiveros, formerly of Joël Robuchon Restaurant, Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro, Michael Mina’s Nobhill Tavern and Scotch 80 Prime. The price is $199 per person, inclusive of gratuities and a $60 optional beverage package is available that provides one pre-selected signature cocktail at each venue. The Count Room Live at Flamingo Las Vegas is now open inside Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse. Guests are transported back to the “Old Vegas” era as vintage vibes and the melodies of swing and funky jazz music are performed live Friday and Saturday evenings by The Moonshiners. The new speakeasy entertainment experience is tucked away in an intimate bar past the steakhouse dining room and features craft cocktails such as the Millionaire with Myers’s Jamaican Dark Rum, sloe gin and Apry liqueur. A build-your-own Old Fashioned beverage cart rolls through the room allowing guests to choose a spirit, citrus, syrup and bitters unique to their taste. A menu of savory bites includes coconut shrimp with coconut sambal and Thai basil honeydew slaw; heirloom beet & squash salad with honey yogurt goat cheese, candied pecans and toasted pumpkin seeds; and single barrel dessert with date cake, caramel mousse and toasted pecan vanilla gelato topped off with warm salted caramel whiskey. Al Solito Posto at Tivoli Village has launched weekend brunch and weekday lunch service. Brunch highlights include lobster Benedict, braised beef cheeks with polenta, stuffed French toast and classic East Coast Taylor ham egg & cheese sandwich. Both lunch and brunch offer new sandwiches such as meatball parmesan, eggplant cutlet and roasted pork with au jus dip; entrees including spaghetti & meatballs, Scottish salmon, shrimp scampi and chicken Milanese; Belgian endive & farro salad; and poached tuna niçoise salad with protein options of shrimp, chicken, skirt steak and salmon. In addition, there is a build-your-own Prosecco bar with several fruit puree and cordial options; traditional, spicy Italian and botanico bloody Marys; and three large-format carafe cocktail options for sharing—J.E.
